After falling out of love with synthwave due to cookie cutter predictability, Liminality pulls me back. Needless vox have been eschewed, there’s nary a lyric about neon whatevers or rainy nights on the grid. True evolution of craft is on display since Astro Blaster. The tracks are densely layered without being crowded and the melodies are truly worth screaming along to.
